Midwest Regional Truck Driver Job Chicago | Home Weekly | $2,000 Bonus

Midwest Regional Truck Driver Job – Chicago Based | Home Weekly

This Midwest regional truck driver job based in Chicago offers steady miles, weekly home time, and modern equipment. Drivers run freight throughout the Midwest while enjoying a consistent 34-hour reset at home each week. As a result, drivers can maintain a reliable schedule and still earn solid weekly pay.

In addition, this position includes 100% no-touch freight and a $2,000 sign-on bonus for qualified drivers. Because most freight stays within the region, drivers benefit from predictable routes and consistent miles.

Regional Freight and Route Structure

Drivers on this fleet primarily haul freight throughout the Midwest. However, occasional loads may run outside the region when needed to maintain strong weekly miles.

As a result, drivers stay productive while still returning home regularly. In addition, good trip planning helps drivers maximize miles and stay on schedule. Therefore, drivers who plan routes carefully often see the most consistent weekly earnings.

Weekly Miles and Pay

Drivers on this fleet typically run around 2,000 miles per week. However, weekly mileage may vary depending on Hours of Service (HOS) and freight demand.

Typical earnings include:

  • Average weekly pay: $1,100–$1,200 gross

  • Average length of haul: about 300 miles

Because the length of haul is shorter, drivers often complete multiple loads each week. As a result, miles remain steady throughout the week.

Freight Type

Freight on this fleet is designed to keep drivers moving efficiently. In other words, drivers spend more time driving and less time dealing with freight.

Freight details include:

  • 100% no-touch freight

  • 50–60% drop and hook

  • 40–50% live unload

Therefore, most drivers experience minimal loading delays while staying productive on the road.

Equipment and Driver Support

Drivers operate modern trucks built for comfort and reliability. In addition, the fleet is maintained to help reduce downtime.

Equipment includes:

  • 2021 or newer Freightliner Cascadia

  • Kenworth tractors

Meanwhile, drivers also receive 24/7 operations support. If an issue arises, support staff are available at any time to help drivers stay on schedule.

Vacation Package

Drivers earn paid vacation based on years of service. Over time, vacation benefits increase, giving long-term drivers additional paid time off.

Vacation schedule:

  • 1 year: 1 week

  • 3 years: 2 weeks

  • 7 years: 3 weeks

  • 15 years: 4 weeks

As a result, experienced drivers receive more time to rest and recharge.

Driver Pay and Bonuses

Drivers can earn additional income through several bonus programs. In addition to base pay, these bonuses reward safety and performance.

Sign-On Bonus

New drivers receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus, paid in stages:

  • $500 after first load

  • $500 after 30 days

  • $1,000 after 60 days

However, drivers must remain active and seated at the time of each payout to qualify.

Performance Bonus

Drivers may also earn up to an additional 3 CPM through the performance bonus program.

This bonus is based on:

  • Safety

  • Mileage

  • Productivity

Eligibility begins on the first day of the month following the hire date. However, drivers must remain active OTR drivers at the time of payout.

Detention Pay

When delays occur at shippers or receivers, drivers receive detention pay.

  • $12.50 per hour after the second hour

Layover or Breakdown Pay

If delays happen because of mechanical issues or scheduling problems, drivers receive additional compensation.

  • $100 per day

Important Bonus Eligibility Information

Bonus programs follow company guidelines. Therefore, drivers must meet eligibility requirements to receive payouts.

We reserve the right to modify or cancel bonus programs with appropriate notice under applicable law. In addition, participation in these programs does not change the at-will nature of employment. This means either the employee or the company may end employment at any time, with or without cause.

Furthermore, drivers must be actively employed as company drivers on the bonus payout date to receive payment.
